How I learned trying so hard to be accepted is a complete waste

I have been living with learning disabilities for most of my life. It’s who I am. My parents have never tried to protect me from the harshness of life. I learned at a pretty young age that there are going to be some people who are going to take one look at you and just instantly reject you, especially if you are learning-disabled.
