Improving Equity and Excellence with Strategic School Scheduling

The Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), in partnership with the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA), and the Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP), is pleased to present, at no cost to all Washington public school administrators, a professional learning webinar on Strategic School Scheduling. Building and/or district teams are encouraged to participate together.

This 90 minute webinar will share best practices for raising student achievement for students who struggle (with and without IEPs). Additionally, the interconnections and implications for building quality schedules that support effective implementation of these best practices will be shared. Common scheduling challenges will be addressed, and solutions will be provided. There will be time set aside at the end for questions and answers.

The webinar will be presented by Nathan Levenson, Managing Director of the District Management Group. Over the past decade, Nate has led efforts to improve equity and outcomes for all students in nearly 200 districts across 25 states and has published a number of articles and books on how to make the use of school time more strategic.
